The Logistics
Fees and Payments
Our fees are based on the 2019 Alberta Dental Association Specialist Fee Guide. Payment is due at the time treatment is provided. We will always discuss all financial options with you prior to your child’s treatment, so there are no surprises.

Dental Insurance
At Gateway Pediatric Dentistry we do not direct bill, however we are happy to submit on your behalf for your reimbursement. We will also send estimates on your behalf whenever possible, in order to help you fully understand your coverage.
Consult Only Appointments
Payment is due the day of the consultation. For your convenience, we accept debit, Visa, and MasterCard.

Cancellations/ No Shows
Please be courteous to us and other patients by informing us 2 business days in advance if you wish to reschedule or cancel your scheduled appointment with us. Cancellation/no shows will result in a fee.
PLEASE REMEMBER YOU ARE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FEES CHARGED BY Gateway Pediatric Dentistry REGARDLESS OF YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE
Your First Visit
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be done the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist use by providing the following information at the time of your first appointment:

-
Your referral slip and any x-rays if applicable
-
A list of medications you are presently taking.
-
If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Radiograph (X-Rays)
If your referring dentist has taken radiograph (x-rays), they may have them forwarded to our office, yet we may need to take additional radiographs at your first appointment. Any appointments occurring after a 6 month time frame may be subject to another radiograph, and re-evaluation.
