Dr. Jessica Holownia
As a pediatric dental specialist, Dr. Holownia provides comprehensive care that blends her University of Alberta roots with advanced specialty training from NYU Langone in Yakima, Washington.
From infant oral health to early childhood caries and prevention, she creates a nurturing, trust-based environment where children discover their own strength — transforming dental care into moments of personal growth.
Born in Lethbridge, raised in Sherwood Park, and trained across North America - Dr. Holownia brings a wide world of experience back home to Edmonton.
Her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences (with distinction) from the University of Alberta was just the beginning. Dr. Holownia went on to earn her DDS from Loma Linda University and completed her specialty residency in pediatric dentistry at NYU Langone in Yakima, Washington — where she served as chief resident.
Big, confident smiles begin early!
After practising as a general dentist for several years, she realized that working with children was simply more rewarding — and more fun. Today, her research-backed focus on infant oral health, early childhood caries, and prevention sets the foundation for lifelong healthy smiles.
As an integral part of Gateway Pediatric Dentistry, she is based out of Edmonton, The Meadows, and Sherwood Park — communities she knows and loves.
When she's not in the office, Dr. Holownia is a devoted mom, passionate cook and gardener, world traveller, and volunteer with Resurgence, a Christian nonprofit founded by her husband Travis.
